Ambika Raina (UM-bee-ka RAY-na) is a top NYC-based tutor who provides academic, cognitive, and structural support.
Over her 9 years of tutoring, Ambika has worked over 3,000 hours with over 250 students, specializing in ACT, SAT, and ISEE/SSAP preparation. She is also trained in executive functioning skills and various learning needs.
Ambika responds intuitively to learning needs, while bringing a warm, positive attitude to every session. All aspects of Ambika's approach help bring out her students' best academic performance, and a truly successful session infuses confidence, enthusiasm, and motivation in learning that transfers to all areas of life.
Ambika studied Dance and Neuroscience at the University of Michigan. She believes academics and creativity go hand-in-hand and enjoys helping students see that diligence in school will help them pursue their passion, whatever it may be. Based in Brooklyn, she continues to freelance as a dancer and choreographer, and also enjoys pottery, music, and getting outdoors!
